Transactions made at supermarkets, telecom providers, fuel stations, educational institutions, government services, charitable organisations, transport services, car rental agencies, insurance providers, and fast-food outlets are classified under special categories. For a full list, please refer to the Merchant Categorisation Sheet.
Please note: Merchant category codes are assigned by the merchant at the time of registration with their acquiring bank. All categorisation is determined by the merchant, and cannot be disputed with NBF Islamic.
Important Notice: The NBF Rewards Program officially starts on February 11, 2025. Transactions made from February 11, 2025, at 00:00 hours onward will be eligible to earn points. Please note that transactions through NBF Direct app or online banking will not earn reward points.
